Why do some people claim to have a food allergy, when in reality they just dont like something?
Posted by: admin / Category: food allergyResearch carried out by food technologists recently stated that 45% of the adult population on the U.K claim to have a food allergy when the actual medical figure is around 2.6%!!!
Why on earth do people lie about this??? If you dont like butter, for example just ask for no butter. Why do they feel the need to say they are allergic to it??
Drives me insane this. I’ve got a best friend who claims to have all kinds of ‘proven’ ( she paid £200 for some by post quackery) intolerances and allergies. Admittedly she does has ibs but instead of admitting this is aggravated by her crap diet and smoking, she prefers to make a performance over buying some ‘free from’ food range .I love her dearly, but over this I could cheerfully punch her lights out..lol
My daughter had inherited my intolerance of such people as she was once aggravated by a boy in her class who had every ism and asm going including nut allergy. She got hauled out of school dinners for waving her peanut butter bagel in front of his face saying ‘ it’s gonna getcha’ lololol. Atta girl
