Recently I’ve developed a food allergy that seems to be triggered by something in my beer and food. I break out into hives and it is very uncomfortable.
start with taking out beer from your diet…
Then take out milk, or wheat….for a while, maybe a week then start slowly eating it, see if u get a reaction. try with the other
thats how I would do it.
I’ve been avoiding dairy since my 6 month old breastfed daughter doesn’t appear to tolerate it well. And while the tiny bit of bloody streaks stopped showing up, her poop has continued to stay somewhat runny. I’m pretty vigilant about the dairy thing and it’s probably been about 2 months of dairy free. Well, about 2 days ago her poops got more greenish, mucus-y and once or twice there was a *tiny* bit of blood. Since then no blood but still watery. She’s not pooping with any more frequency than normal but I would say it’s definitely a lot more like when I was consuming dairy. They did do a blood test and we know that she’s not allergic to any of the major foods.
I’ve been reading a lot and everything says that it’s a dairy intolerance 99% of the time. What would be the runner-up to that since I know there’s been no dairy? I’m trying to think of what I ate over the weekend that was out of the norm and the only two things were Panda Express (beef/broccoli and chow mein - both dairy free) and Pierogi (potato and onion.) Other than that it’s the same stuff I always eat.
Any ideas out there from others who’ve experienced the same thing?
I also know it’s not a foremilk/hindmilk issue.
I feel pretty good about not having consumed anything with dairy in it. I’ve been working off of the hidden list of the dairy and using the go dairy free website. I read all ingredients for anything I eat and if I eat somewhere not at home I check the website for how the food is manufactured. I’ve got a "fast food safe list" for the few things I can eat.
I’m thinking that with the Panda Express stuff though I might be looking at soy. Ugh. All of my non dairy stuff has soy. (Although she hasn’t reacted this strongly to anything I’ve had up until this point.)
I’ll do what I have to do for what’s best for my little one but man, oh man, was I hoping to avoid doing the entire elimination diet. (sigh).
Soy is also a common (the 2nd most common) intolerance in babies. Maybe she has an intolerance to that too?
Other then that I don’t know what to tell you. Is it possible you accidentally ate something with some hidden dairy in it?
