Hi - my Mum did the Imupro 300 test, and had really great results with it. She wasn't sure if she had an intolerance, but was getting all the symptons so she started researching it. Imupro stood out as a credible and reliable test, and has honestly transformed her life. She is healthier, slimmer, and happier. They gave her great support throughout and were very helpful when it came to changing her diet.
References :
http://www.imupro.com.au/

Thank you! Finally someone who knows the difference between an allergy and an intolerance!

The first step is to continue your normal diet and to see your doctor. Ask to be tested for Celiac Disease. This is firstly done by a blood test and if positive, followed by a biopsy. Some people don't have Celiac Disease are still intolerant to gluten. After you've had the Celiac Disease blood test and biopsy, you could trial a gluten free diet. You must wait until after your tests otherwise they will be skewed. The trial is often called a Gluten Challenge. I would recommend doing it under the guidance of a doctor and recording all your symptoms. It involves avoiding gluten for a set period of time and monitoring your symptoms, then reintroducing it and monitoring your symptoms again. If you feel better on a GF diet, many doctors would say 'there's your answer'.

I believe the same can be done with lactose/dairy. There are no special blood tests for that. So you could try removing lactose from your diet tomorrow. Keep a record of your symptoms. Don't remove gluten and lactose at the same time because then you may not know which is the culprit.

Allergies are different from intolerances and they usually cause a life threatening response like trouble breathing.

Good luck.

Yes, they can test for lactose and gluten intolerance, but I don't think they can test for other food intolerances. I am intolerant to poultry, eggs, honey, cherries, and beets. I don't think they have a test for those.
References :
I had the same problem and it turned out I had a gluten AND dairy intolerance. I don't know if yours was as severe as mine, but it's a good idea to go to a doctor and be tested. Chronic constipation takes a big toll on your body, so it's best to figure out the root cause so you can have healthy bowel movements again. You say you eat healthy (probably get enough fiber), drink plenty of water, it must be an intolerance like me. You'll feel soo much better once you get tested and change your diet; not only your bowel health, but your mental health, energy, and much more!
References :
I think you mean an intolerance, rather than an allergy. An allergy can cause a rash, trouble breathing, itching. An intolerance can cause stomach issues.

You should speak to your doctor about this, but usually someone with an intolerance will go more often than this.

Do not remove any food from your diet until you've been to the doctor. They may want to run some tests. If you've removed a food group from your diet it could skew the test results.

Good luck.

EDIT- Selah, that doesn't mean it's an intolerance. It could be number of things. Do not remove any food groups from your diet until you go to the doctor, this is so important!

A food intolerance would cause the opposite problem! Lack of activity causes constipation. Whatever you are eating is bunging you up so look at what you are choosing to eat and notice what happens to it afterwards.
References :
Everything matador mentioned is true but before you jump into all those options, how about checking the simple and obvious first. Many people literally have horrible diets. Keep an eye on what goes into your mouth. If you live on junk food all day, every day, you are going to have elimination problems. Junk food doesn't have to be candy cookies and cakes etc. either. A continuous diet of white breads, pastas, buns and breads or greasy fries, hamburgers, corn dogs etc. can cause a whole host of problems too. If you do not give yourself enough fiber in your diet (think fresh fruits and veges), this promotes a slow digestive system. Lack of fluids - your body needs water - to keep moving everything along. There is so many things we fill ourselves up with every day that gunks up a digestive system.
Start getting yourself some water, good quality foods, and exercise (lack of movement slows down the system also) and see if this helps first. Your problem can be as simple as if the wrong stuff goes in, nothing comes out very easily. If you still have problems after the next month or so, now it's time to get some more help and information. Check at this site for a lot of help to find out options to get you through this.
References :
www.allergy-and-diabetic-health.com/allergy-vs-intolerance.html
