Any information about Food Intolerance & elimination diet?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: food intolerance test

Hi everyone,

I have recently had food intolerance testing done and the results shown that I was severely intolerable to dairy, oranges and lemons and mildly intolerable to wheat & potatoes. I have been asked to eliminate all these foods for 6 weeks from my diet but to be honest am really struggling. Would it be ok to completely eliminate the foods that I am severly intolerable to and eat the foods that I am mildly intolerable to every other day (i.e potatoes for dinner etc) and complete it for a longer period of time?? You see when you take these foods out of my diet I am really not left with much other than fruits, nuts and brown rice. Really my question is will it be totally pointless if I don’t follow the rules strictly? Is it really an all or nothing procedure?

how about coming up with alternatives to replace the foods which you are intolerable to?
there are many gluten-free range products available from wal-marts and other shops with would allow you to continue eating foods such as: pasta, noodles, bread, etc. hopefully without the side effects of your intolerance.
this website may help you with meal ideas and which foods could help you through the 6 weeks: http://www.wheatanddairyfree.com

hope this helps. (:
