Would a food allergy skin test show if you have food intolerances? Or is that a different test?

For example: If someone is lactose intolerant would that show up on a food ALLERGY test?
Because from my understanding an intolerance does not involve the immune system and is therefore not a real allergy…
Food sensitivities, allergies and intolerances are all different things. Allergies are the least common and most obvious because they are often severe and immediate. Intolerance and sensitivity are usually more low grade and sensitivities can take several days for symptoms to surface.
Intolerance DOES involve the immune system. Because an intolerance usually results in proteins that are not completely digested, the immune system views them as an invader and attacks them.

You are right; intolerance is not a true allergy and will not show up on an allergy test. They have tests for lactose intolerance and celiac disease (intolerance to wheat) but I do not think they have tests for any other food intolerance. For instance, I am very intolerant to poultry. There is no test for it. I am also intolerant to cherries, beets, and honey. There are no tests for these food intolerances.
